The system monitors a network’s load in real-time and optimizes power supply through multiple stages of soft switches, capacitor banks, load balancers, and passive and active harmonic filters. The software automatically balances true and reactive power by dynamically switching the right types and stages of these components. The result is a steady 0.98 PF, something static systems cannot achieve.

A defining feature of OmniPower™ is its ability to measure exact energy and cost savings by comparing the corrected load to one without using the system. Every parameter is tracked, including reactive power (kVar), apparent power (kVA), true power (kW), voltage, current and PF. Clear before-and-after readings highlight the immediate impact of PF correction. It also has an integrated billing platform that turns data into real-time reports and monthly summaries. Utilities and end users can see exact cost and CO₂ savings.

Automation is making the process even more seamless. Utility bills are uploaded directly into the system, where kWh usage, PF cost savings and CO₂ reductions are automatically calculated. A Perfect Solution that Frees Utilities from Grid Stress

The impact of the transformative technology is significant. Utility providers face a challenge of meeting growing power demands without the budget, time or space to build new substations or install additional underground cables.

OmniPower™ provides them the much-needed relief by unlocking new grid capacity. It reduces heat stress on substations, transformers and underground cables, preventing costly burnouts and extending equipment life. Harmonic filters prevent network equipment overheating caused by unfiltered harmonic currents from computers, LED lighting, solar inverters and variable-frequency drives. The result is cleaner power and improved grid stability.
The system also adjusts kVar and feeds it back into the grid. This addresses a significant gap left by solar and battery storage, which provide real power but no reactive power storage support. Reducing reactive power stress releases capacity that utilities can redirect to other customers, creating a buffer to handle peak demand without new infrastructure.

Every kilowatt-hour saved translates into fewer tons of released CO₂. Utilities find it easier to meet carbon emissions mandates and qualify for rebates, strengthening their sustainability credentials and de-carbonization strategies.

Realizing Energy Costs and Carbon Savings Goals

The system ensures that customer meters receive the correct voltage. Stabilized voltage extends equipment life. Failures caused by harmonic heating are also reduced, leading to fewer power outages. The most significant advantage for industrial and commercial users is the financial savings from avoiding hefty ratchet charges due to a temporary high energy demand. Many utilities take interval readings, especially during peak summer months. If demand spikes or the power factor falls during a specific timeframe, customers are locked into higher rates, and the penalties can follow for up to 13 months. OmniPower™ shields businesses from such events and penalties by maintaining a steady 0.98 PF and balanced kVar.

Efficiency gains also support de-carbonization, with each installation achieving 10 to 30 percent carbon reductions, saving tons of CO₂ per installation. Clients can view live readings of kVAR, kVA, kWh, voltages and PF, along with monthly reports that detail cost savings and CO₂ reductions. These measurable parameters give businesses a direct path to meeting sustainability targets.

“Users can view the energy consumption and savings stats on smartphones or desktops, while being able to set custom alarms for their location,” says Daniel Simon, executive vice president.

Pilot projects show how powerful the impact of OmniPower™ can be. At one site, with a baseline power factor of 0.72, the system cut line currents by 30 percent, reactive power by 90 percent, apparent power by 30 percent and real power by 9 percent. Daily consumption dropped by 18 percent, while the net cost savings ranged between 8 and 18 percent.

Customized and Seamless Installation that Drives Results

Unlike fixed units mounted on poles and shared across the network, OmniPower™ is installed directly on the customer side. Every installation goes through a rigorous process. Customers provide 12 months of power bills and, if available, a one-line electrical drawing. A licensed professional engineer reviews the data to assess viability, and the team prepares a preliminary report with PF estimates and projected savings.

If the results show promise, a two-week, on-site test is carried out using industry-standard equipment trusted by utilities. The findings are reviewed and certified by an independent, state-licensed PE for complete credibility. Once the savings potential is verified, a customized system is designed and installed to match the customer’s network. The system can also be monitored and controlled remotely, 24/7, to ensure uninterrupted operations.

OmniPower™’s physical footprint is a crucial advantage. Compact enough to fit in tight electrical rooms yet scalable from the size of a computer cabinet to a trailer truck, each unit is custom-designed to meet kVar requirements. That capability proves especially critical in dense urban centers, where space is scarce and infrastructure upgrades are nearly impossible.

Shaping the Future of Clean Energy

OmniPower™ has already proven its worth to one of the toughest audiences in the industry. Con Edison partnered with the company to relieve a sixteen-megawatt load in Jamaica, Queens. The project spans 57 facilities, including hospitals, and is a model for how non-wire solutions can extend the urban grid without breaking ground. A new 20,000-square-foot facility in New York is already supporting the rollout of the new network under a three-year contract. Similar partnerships are planned for the West Coast and beyond.
