Originally established in 2013 in the United Arab Emirates, Project Management and Finance (PMF) in 2016 became a Limited Liability Engineering Company incorporated in Italy. The company is fully compliant with European laws and specializes in providing engineering design and technical services, financial consulting, onsite construction supervision of infrastructure, and public services projects. PMF operates internationally in the public private partnership (PPP) infrastructures and services, waste management, engineering services, and environmental technologies. “At PMF we are highly committed to our clients’ expectations, because our aim is to exceed them. PMF operates through its acquired know-how in the most innovative technologies and data analysis in the waste management sector. The company carries specific expertise in the full delivery of waste management plants and services through PPPs, using its legal, engineering, and financial expertise. Further, its Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) collection, planning, and designing achieve the highest ratios of recyclable waste using the most up-to-date operation techniques (door-to-door, curbside collection, engineered collection points) in the context of PAYT (pay-as-you-throw) principles. “Our goal is to design cutting-edge, innovative treatment and recycling plants, such as wastewater treatment with up to 100 percent water reclamation, aerobic and anaerobic composting, Waste-to-Energy, MRF (Material Recovery Facilities) and MBT (Mechanical Biological Treatment) waste processing plants,” states Mr. Germani.

Transforming organic waste into compost can be done in two ways—aerobic and anaerobic. Using the second technique, PMF recovers gas fuels from organic waste, which is a very valuable initiative.

To finance the process, the company puts together the funds coming from the States and private parties to construct the plant. “We are providing two major income sources for the investors. First- anyone who provides the organic waste (hand over the material) has to pay so called dumping fee. Second way to provide the profit is by selling the final product- fuel,” states Mr. Germani. PMF helps clients from preliminary assessment until approval/financial closure. What’s more, they also specialize in the services of Business Cases (Outline BC, Full BC), Financial Plans (FP), and Capital structure optimization (Equity and Debt).
